Introduction/Overview:
CEMS Consult was proud to be part of the engineering team behind the Ineos 4×4 Playpark, an innovative and experiential showcase located at the iconic V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. This unique installation was developed to demonstrate the off-road capabilities of the Ineos Grenadier in an interactive and dynamic environment.
The playpark features a custom-designed 4×4 track with a range of challenging obstacles, including steep ramps, articulation mounds, water crossings, and uneven terrain, all designed to safely push the limits of the Grenadier while offering an immersive visitor experience.
CEMS Consult was responsible for the civil design and engineering input, ensuring that all elements of the track were structurally sound, environmentally conscious, and seamlessly integrated within the constraints of the high-profile urban location.
This project demonstrates our ability to deliver creative engineering solutions for high-impact public activations, balancing functionality, safety, and visual appeal.
