Introduction/Overview:
This building (currently under construction), is a geometrically complex, ten-storey concrete structure, built in poor soil conditions in Uganda, East Africa.
This facility required a high level of expertise and creative solutions to challenges such as high seismic loading, complex building geometry, long cantilevers and poor soil conditions (without the possibility of piling).
Using cutting edge finite element analysis technology, every element of this building’s performance is predicted and considered in the final Engineering solution.
